India is a country which has the best education system. There are many Reputated Management Colleges in India. The youth in India are very much keen to take degree from the IIMs as a sure shot ticket to an exceptional corporate career. However the race to get in to the IIMs is a tough one and statistics of success rates are stacked against most of these bright eyed aspirants. The year 2013 saw approximately 2.14 lakh applicants battling it out to secure a coveted spot among the 3500 seats in the 13 IIMs. The odds are bleak, for it is a million students running for 3500 seats.

However, the road doesn't end with a failed admission for the students who don't make it into the IIMs. siliconindia is here to present the 5th edition of the "What if not IIMs" B-Schools Survey 2014, to focus on evaluating non-IIM B Schools in India for students who want to pursue an MBA program from private institutes without compromising on the level of education. Although being relatively new when compared to most of the IIMs, these new entrant B-schools are already creating entrepreneurs, innovators and corporate heroes par excellence. Our objective is to highlight such institutions that are arming students to create successful careers for themselves.

We hope our effort to create this comprehensive ranking of B-Schools will help the student community to broaden their horizons and grasp opportunities beyond the IIMs.
