Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone faced her biggest nightmare at a garba event in Ahmedabad.

The pretty actress, who was expecting a warm welcome from her Gujarati fans, got a shock when she had to allegedly escape protestors, who were ready to attack her with eggs and tomatoes.

A Mid-Day report says a group of protestors reached the venue to protest against Deepika's upcoming movie Ram-Leela. Just when they were ready to pelt eggs and tomatoes at the actress, they got informed that the filmmakers have agreed to remove controversial content from the film.

It seems the protestors, allegedly from the Jadeja and the Rabari community, were seething with anger due to some portions of the film and were ready to attack the actress and organizers of the garba event. However, they were informed that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has decided to edit those portions and has spoken to community leaders about the same. Thus peace prevailed.

This event, however, did not spoil the mood of our pretty Deepika. She just resumed enjoying the festivities as if nothing had happened.
