Women are taught a very lucrative profession just when they are adolescents in India – cooking. They are taught to cook from the time they are ten in the villages and a bit older in cities. But the irony of the situation is that men go on to be professional cooks. May be because there is a great difference between house-cooking and dishing out food in a restaurant. There is a lot of study involved and practice is the bible. Many women do take up cooking seriously and open cooking tutorials at home, but you see very few of them behind a cooking station in a restaurant.
