Admission in MBA is generally held on the basis of a written test, group discussion and personal interview. Many colleges offer HR courses at the graduation level. Besides, there are executive MBA (HR) programmes offered by some institutes which require a minimum level of experience.

Since each and every company needs a Human resource manager, a graduate in this field can never run out of job opportunities. Human Resource managers can be employed in public and private sector industries, banking and financial institutions, corporate houses and multinational companies. They can also aspire to be employed in services sector particularly IT companies who are dealing with huge number of employees now-a-days. Small firms hire the services of Human Resource consultants.

 

Remuneration:

At an early stage, graduates can earn around Rs 20000 to Rs 30000 per month, particularly in the private sector. The pay scale may go up with respect to qualifications, ability and experience of the person concerned. At the senior level, a MBA graduate with Human Resource as specialization can earn up to Rs 50000 to Rs 60000 per month. Besides, those who have taken up consultancy as a career enjoy handsome returns.
