The brothers have been listed as the 47th richest in the world with a fortune of over 11 billion pounds in 2013, up from nine billion pounds last year.
Mukesh and Anil Ambani have been jointly listed as the 20th richest in the world. This is as per a compilation by the Sunday Times Rich List 2013.
Despite owning separate and diverse businesses, the brothers have been clubbed together under the category petrochemicals. This, despite younger sibling Anil having no presence in the petro-chemical space.
Their combined networth has been jointly pegged around 17 billion pounds, down from 19 billion pounds last year.
Other notable India inclusions include Srichand and Gopichand Hinduja, Chairman and Co-Chairman respectively of the Hinduja Group.
