To realize Maharishi Dayananda Saraswathi s dreams of reviving the Indian Society intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, a group of enlightened, dedicated and devoted followers founded Dayananda Anglo Vedic College Trust and Management Society which was registered in 1886. The society was founded its first DAV School, at Lahore in 1886.This is the largest Non-Government Organization in India in the field of education. The Dayananda Anglo Vedic Schools blended the vedic values and knowledge with Western Science and Technology. Now it has grown into a net work of nearly 700 institution in India and abroad, taking up many new schemes and programmes of immense social values for the upliftment of rural and backward classes, catering various needs of the society. It includes relief work, funding national causes, running orphanages, vocational training, poverty alleviation scheme, women empowerment programmes etc.
